I have read a book about photography today and understood so many techniques to create good looking photographs. The techniques include taking symmetric photos, macro photos, rule of thirds etc…After learning all these techniques, I went to take a photo of a small new born date tree.I tried almost all the techniques I read in that book. But I didn’t feel satisfaction in those photos. The author had repeatedly mentioned that all the photographers should try his or her own ideas which will not be in the book or will not suit to the guidelines in that book. Finally I decided to take a different angle which is parallel to the floor and I got the below image.I don’t know whether this is a common practice which the author missed.
This was taken using Canon Powershot A1100IS which has limited control to adjust light. I think this could be improved with a SLR.
